The archives of the Old Lyme Historical Society include many wonderful photographs of Old Lyme buildings and landscapes dating back to the beginning of the twentieth century. The calendar juxtaposes historic photographs with contemporary ones of the same scene. Each month is sponsored by a different community organization. The calendar includes listings of their events throughout the year, and a short description of their organization on their month. The sponsors for this year ‘s calendar include Center School PTO, Coffee’s Country Market, Cooley Gallery, Florence Griswold Museum, Lyme Art Association, Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau, The Nearly New Shop, Old Lyme Marketplace, the Old Lyme-Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library, Old Lyme Town Hall, Sound View Beach Association, and The Village Shops. The calendar was designed by James Meehan and edited by Alison Mitchell.
